Our Staff

The Rev. Charles H. ("Chuck") Ericson has been the Pastor of the Bolton Congregational Church UCC since 1984. By today’s standards, that is a long time – but Chuck continues to find great reward and challenge serving and providing leadership in our vibrant and faithful congregation.

Chuck holds a B.S. from Trinity College and an M.Div. (Master of Divinity degree) from Andover Newton Theological School. Since 1994, he has also directed the "Associates in Christian Education (ACE)" training program for local church Christian Educators at Hartford Seminary.

Chuck is photographed here in our church's beautiful Remembrance Garden, on a bench established in his honor by church members in 2007.

Melanie Brazdzionis has been Church secretary since October 2007. It is usually Melanie’s welcome voice that you first hear on the other end of the telephone when you call the Church.

Prior to becoming Church secretary, Melanie worked for nine years at AT&T. She has served as a Stephen Minister with our Church. She and her husband, Paul, have two children, Luke and Kelly.

Mary Lou Prescher Mary Lou Prescher is the senior member of the Church staff, having served as Organist and Choir Director for over 25 years.

Mary Lou’s special gift of selecting inspiring music, leading our adult Choir and music program, and accompanying on piano and organ brings joy into the midst of our worship week after week after week.

One of her specialties is the annual "Laity Sunday" musical that brings together many "diverse" (to put it gently) talents, culminating in a thought-provoking and inspiring message.

Bob Bagley Bob Bagley of ACE Maintenance provides the service that keeps our Church facilities looking clean and sparkling all year long.

You may see him making the floors shine…keeping our sanctuary neat and ready for worship…or even up on the roof of the Education Building clearing away autumn leaves.

His love of our Church shows through in all that he does – and you will hardly ever see him without a bright smile on his face.
