How the Tournament Works
There are 4-person teams, scramble format. The registration fee is $85 per golfer, and about half of that goes directly to our church programs. Your registration fee includes:
18-hole greens fee
riding cart
complimentary gift
on-course beverage and snacks
closest-to-the-pin contests
men's and women's longest drive contests
raffle ticket (and opportunity to purchase more)
all-you-can-eat lunch
Schedule of events:
8:30-9:30 -- registration
9:00-9:30 -- group golf lesson
10:00 -- shotgun start
2:00 -- luncheon and raffle prizes
Sponsorship Opportunities
Not a golfer? You can still contribute through our sponsorship opportunities:
The most visible (and greatly appreciated) is a sponsor for our luncheon. The price tag for lunch is $800 for a full slate of golfers. If one or more of you underwrites the cost of lunch all of those proceeds will go directly to the ministries of the church. And you’ll have your name on banners and all printed materials.
What would golf be without special contests? We have four such events – longest drives and closest to the pin – for men and women. We need title sponsors for each of the four. Your $100 contribution (fully tax deductible) will ensure your name will appear as the sponsor on the winner’s plaque.
And an offer that almost nobody can refuse is to sponsor a hole. For a $50 deductible contribution you can be famous for one hole. And you can offer your hole sponsorship in honor of a friend or loved one. What a great way to remember someone’s birthday or anniversary. After the event you may have the sign to keep!
And finally we seek the donation of raffle items. Golfers are a special breed of folks and they’ll take chances. So if you’re willing to donate a dozen golf balls, or perhaps a gift certificate to a place golfers would love, please consider this as your chance to get involved.
